Greeting from sunny Thailand!

It's Thai new year where we celebrate with lots of splashing water and temple visits :-) we want to wish you a happy time with your love ones. For us, we are on our way to enjoy traveling for 2 weeks.

Trouble is a friend

It has been a little trouble in our team member. One member in particular. We parted in good term and the rest of us decided it's time for a change.

Sometimes trouble find you just for you to wake up and be aware of what's going on. Sometimes trouble find you to say " fight and you will become a better person"

Change is unavoidable, is not easy but change is beautiful. It teaches us to never take anything for granted and it tells us to always fight and strive to be better.

With the season's change in the air, we are changing along. We'd love to start fresh again.

With this idea in mind, we will continue with our quality and unique handmade design. We will discontinue many old designs. We will be more organize in sizes. We want to become a "prete-a-porter" store for woman and men in all sizes. Moreover, we will start our membership card system for all our lovely long time customer.

Sounded exciting already eh??

Wabi-sabi

If you want to give a Japanese person a hard time, ask him what "Wabi-sabi" mean.

"Perfect blue sky...not wabisabi. Blue sky with white cloud...yes wabisabi" One of my friend try to give example.

"Oh...very difficult...old temple with broken roof...I don't know how to explain...very difficult" another Japanese fail to try.

"...It's like Sakura flower that fall too soon"

" Oh...is it like sad, romantic kind of feeling?" I ask.

" No..no...ummm...how can I say?"

With many questioning, turn out...I never really get a clear answer. But sometimes, that is the beauty of it. Like many great songs, that doesn't make full sense. You never know what the song really mean, but you still like it. You like the feeling that come with it.

I like the word "Wabisabi". The sound of it and the unclear meaning I could glasp.

The imperfection in things; object or human.

The beauty that only time can create.

Broken pieces of memory that hold up over time.

Changes and impermanance.

It's wabisabi...and it's life.

Ring the bells that still can ring

Take a chance

The starting of new year sometimes make you look back...Do a little reflection.

And today "Chances and choices" come to my thought...

Chances happen to you...and you are the one making choices along these chances. Be it decision or no decision.

You have to look for sign. The slightest picture that slip out of your subconciousness in that split second...Something you feel and know it in your guts. Listen to it, see it, but don't assume.

You never know if you are making the right choice in your life. Though I believe that making "little right choice" for each moment will lead you to one big "good choice"

And sometime when you really can't deal with making the choice...remember, you can always take a chance...

New year is approaching!!!

Time is flying...before we know it, the year is already coming to the end. It also means new year is starting. We have many things planned for our etsy store. 1 big thing is that we will start making 1 design in different sizes S-M, M-L and XL. We will also be using more variety of fabric, more natural one. etc...Oh we have so many ideas!

But before we turn our ideas into reality. We would love to hear from our client! We are still very new and we are sure that there are roooms for improvement for us. We would really appreciate a comment.

Coat and jacket season!

It's starting to get cold where we are! A good inspiration for making thicker clothing...

We still work with 100% cotton. Just double it up or use a thicker material.

And we come up with these soft suit.

As usual, with some hand-embroidery detail.

This one is more special cos it is reversible! Plain beige soft cotton with hand-embroidery on the outer layer. Great flower printed fabric on the inner layer.

Also a simple long coat with very thick 2 layers plain black high-twisted cotton.Simple hoodie coat that will keep you warm and it's a simple piece you will always ended up picking it to go with all your outfit!

How we pack and ship the packages

Part 2. How we pack the packages and ship them.

Apple preparing the order we sold from the last 3 days.
The clothes is nicely fold with our name card added.

We add namecard in every package to promote our site. So client can give away to their friends.Our name card is designed by Nithima. Very simple. we even print them ourselve.

After finish packaging, we put them in the saddle bag and take them to post office in town.

At the post office. Toy is the nicest lady at the post office. We meet her every other day.
We ship everything airmail from Thailand. with register number.

We hope these pictures show the handmade process of our team and answer all the questions you have.

Greeting from Thailand!

Today is an introduction day for our team members Below are the pictures of how we make our clothes.

It started with playing around with material and pattern.

In the picture Sommai is working on one of our curtain collection with a piece she hand-stitches on fake leather.

Nithima patch up different design arm part to see which one is better.

Poona's draw book for many idea she has.

After the design is done, Poona and Sommai start on sewing machine.

This is Poona working on one of our triangle pants with hemp fabric and Hmong vintage embroidery.

Poona finishing up a plain kimono wrap top that need embroidery after.
Poona iron the pants she finish since yesterday.

Poona show off her finish product. Balloon tiered pants with very wide bottom and drawstring. This pants can be worn as a capris with tie around the leg or as a long and very wide leg pants or as a long balloon pants. It's our new product we are going to put on the etsy!

After the product finish. Nithima and Apple take pictures. Cropping them and get them ready for the listing.

We made 2 variation of this new design. One with printed cotton patchwork style. And the brown pair below made of plain cotton with Hmong vintage Hand-embroidery pieces patched randomly on the last tier of the pants.

The second part are the pictures of how we do the embroidery.

Harvesting season

It's the end of rainy season in Thailand. Everywhere in the rice paddy field is beautifully gold. I can't help but feel very happy everytime I drove pass it. No matter how bad the world economy is, we are very lucky to be in a place where we can grow everything we eat!

In this part of the world...it seems far away from the other world we saw in the news. Life is very simple and uneffected by stock market or exchange rate.

People work very hard in the field each day but you can hardly hear any complain...No matter how hot and heavy life may seem, we can still see a big smile and hear genuine laughs.

Harvesting time is approaching...we count the abundance that we have. We feel very thankful and grateful for our surrounding...
It's the satisfied mind...it's the simplicity in everything that bring happiness...

A perfect outfit...

I just listed the adapted version of bloomer pants. This one with the long and loose look. Feels just like skirt. Super sweet!

While making it, I think about making the clothes as a whole outfit. Sell them as a set. The idea started from hearing a few clients who request for matching top. Many said they like to get a whole set becos it's very hard to find a piece to match the style of clothing we make, in the west.

So I try with our new balloon sleeve boho print blouse. Dye it in brown.

It has the same bloomer look, and this blouse has a bit of pleated detail as well. Turned out, they match each other perfectly! in my opinion anyways.

So here it is upon request. Please tell us what you think. We'd like to come up with mix style. Sometimes contrast - sometimes coordinate.

Keep experimenting and try new thing :-)

And we came up with this great embroidered top that go so well with this pants!

I want to say thank you for the feedback we got from our last "vegetarian" promotion. Sadly, it ended today...though stay tune for the new promotion. We will come up with something fun regularly.

We just finish a few pieces from the "curtain collection" that I mentioned last month. Please check them out.

In Thailand, we have the vegetarian festival from Oct 1-10 every year.
Many people give up meat for 10 days. Though some restaurants still try to make tofu and soy look like chicken, sausage, fish, pork, you name it!! Yummy!!

For boho chic... Check out our new boho print blouse! They are superb! I keep one in green for myself!

We got these beautiful flower print fabric in from Chiangmai. To me, they are perfect for dress. Cute and sweet...though I know it's not the season for mini dress in the west, so I'm gonna throw the idea here and see if I get any feedback...

We are also experimenting on new tiedye technic. I love the way tiedye turns out. Mostly unpredictable. And it's quite hard to use tiedye fabric and make it subtle, don't speak too loud. Below is what I come up with.

At last!!!

After a long busting week. We finally got these 100% hemp baggy lisu style pants done!!! Special thanks to Poona, our tailor for working all day long everyday on the sewing machine.

We are now ready to launch our product on etsy real soon.

For this week only 4 pairs are finish. They are one of a kind! Only one pair like it in the whole wide world!!! We make each color different sizes.

We will be able to take custom order in 2 weeks. Please send in your request if you like what you see here :-)

And...like all real hard workers, we also play as hard!

Life as a house.

Been searching for design of curtain for my new house. Then it became the new inspiration for this fall-winter line :-)

Yep curtain and drapes!! I like the way it looks. Now it's in the process of the way it should feel...still picking material. Hopefully in 1 month some of these design should turn into reality. Until then... we are working our butts off for the new coming Baggy Harem pants! Should be able to photograph them in the next few days. Will keep you all posted! Stay tune...
